Free 30-day returns
Thirty days from delivery to change your mind. We cover the return shipping, and there's no restocking fee.
Buying a shed, a gazebo or a mower online means committing to something you haven't stood next to. The 30-day window exists so you can check the size, the fit and the access before you're stuck with it.
There's one condition, and it's the important part: the item has to be returnable as new. Section 2 explains exactly what that means for each kind of product.
1. What's covered
30 days
From the delivery date, not the order date.
Weekends and holidays count.
Free return shipping
We arrange collection and cover the cost, including pallet freight on large items.
No restocking fee
On items returned unused. Nothing deducted from your refund.
Full refund
The purchase price and any tax, back to your original payment method.
This applies across the range — sheds, gazebos, pergolas, swing sets, mowers, and parts and accessories in their original packaging.
2. What "unused" means
It means we can sell the item to the next customer as new. What that looks like depends on what you bought.
Sheds, gazebos, pergolas and swing sets
Still returnable if you have:
- Unpacked the kit and checked the parts against the list
- Laid the components out to see what you've got
- Measured it against your space and decided it won't fit
No longer returnable once you have:
- Started the build — bolted, screwed or fixed anything together
- Cut, drilled, stained or treated any component
- Discarded the packaging or the fixings
Mowers
Every mower we ship has already been assembled, filled with oil and test-started by our technician. That's deliberate, and it doesn't count against your return.
Still returnable if you have:
- Unpacked it and looked it over
- Rolled it around the garage or checked it against your gate
- Sat on it, adjusted the deck height, or read the manual
- Started it briefly to check it runs
3. How to start a return
1
Contact us
Email or call with your order number and what you'd like to do. Tell us the current state of the item — unopened, unpacked but not built, or partly assembled. It changes what we can offer, and we'd rather know up front.
2
We authorise the return
You'll get a return reference and instructions. Don't ship anything back before this — unauthorised returns can't be tracked to your order.
3
Repack it
Original packaging where possible, with the manual and all fixings. For a kit, get the components back on the pallet in the order they came off it — we'll talk you through it if needed.
4
We arrange collection
Courier pickup for smaller items, freight collection for pallets. We book it and cover the cost. Someone needs to be there to hand it over.
5
We inspect and refund
The item is checked on arrival and your refund is issued. See section 5 for timing.
4. Items already built or used
A structure that has been assembled, or a mower that has been fuelled and used, cannot be returned. Once a kit is bolted together or an engine has run in the field, the item can't be sold to anyone else as new, and we can't take the loss on a change of mind.
This is not the same as something being faulty. If the item is defective, that's a warranty matter and being used doesn't count against you at all — see section 9.
Part-way through and something's wrong?
Stop and call us before you go further. A component that doesn't fit, a panel that's warped, or an instruction that doesn't match the parts is usually a fault or a missing-part issue, both of which we fix — but only while the build can still be paused.
5. Refunds
Timing
- Inspection: within 2 business days of the item reaching us
- Refund issued: within 2 business days of inspection
- Bank processing: a further 3–5 business days, depending on your bank
We'll email you when the item arrives and again when the refund goes out, so you're not left guessing.
What you get back
- The full purchase price
- Any sales tax charged
- Return shipping — we cover it, so there's nothing to reimburse
How it's paid
Refunds go to the original payment method. If that card has expired or been cancelled, contact us and we'll arrange an alternative. Store credit is available if you'd prefer it, but it's never the default.
6. Exchanges
If you've ended up with the wrong size, an exchange is usually quicker than a return and a fresh order.
- Same conditions apply: the item must be returnable under section 2
- Price difference: pay the difference for a larger item, or we refund it for a smaller one
- Timing: the replacement ships once we've received and inspected the original
Most exchanges are a size change — a shed that turned out too small, or a mower deck too wide for the side gate. Tell us the space, the ground and the narrowest access point and we'll get it right the second time.
7. Damaged or faulty on arrival
This isn't a return, and the 30-day window isn't the relevant limit. Handle it like this:
- Note damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Signing a clean receipt makes a carrier claim far harder to win
- Photograph everything, including the packaging and pallet
- Tell us within 24 hours of delivery, or within 72 hours for damage you only find on unpacking
- Don't build or run it if you suspect damage
- Keep the packaging until the claim is settled
We open the carrier claim and arrange a replacement part or a replacement item. You don't pay for shipping, and you don't chase the carrier yourself.
See our Shipping & Delivery Policy for the full detail.
8. Missing parts
A missing bracket isn't a return. Send us your order number and the part number from the manual and we'll get a replacement out — you don't need to send anything back or start a claim.
Check the parts list first. On a kit with a few hundred components, hardware is often bagged in a way that makes something look absent when it isn't.
9. Returns vs warranty
These are two different things and it's worth knowing which one applies:
A return
The item is fine — you've changed your mind or picked the wrong size.
Window: 30 days, item unused.
A warranty claim
The item is faulty. Being built or used doesn't count against you — that's what the warranty is for.
Window: the manufacturer's warranty term.
Warranty terms vary by product and manufacturer; the manual that shipped with your item is definitive. Mower engine warranties are registered for you at checkout, so we can look up your claim from your order.
If something develops a fault in the first 30 days, contact us either way and we'll route it correctly. You don't need to work out which category it falls in.
10. What can't be returned
- Structures that have been assembled, even partly
- Components that have been cut, drilled, stained or treated
- Mowers that have been fuelled and used
- Blades, belts and filters that have been fitted — a fitted blade is a used blade
- Items ordered specially that we don't normally stock
- Anything missing its manual, fixings or accessories
- Anything modified or fitted with non-standard parts
Unfitted parts in their original packaging are returnable within the same 30 days.
11. International orders
- The 30-day window is the same
- Return shipping is the customer's responsibility — free return shipping applies to US orders only
- Import duties and taxes already paid are usually not refundable by us
- Allow additional time for transit and customs
